Conversion of the icons from Microsoft .ico format to .xpm format, the Konquerer installation script, and this web page were created by TkChris. kmamu is a collection of shell scripts which will install the icons into a folder on your KDE1 or KDE2 desktop, and help you maintain these icons as new icon update packs are released. Each icon will have the long description name as provided by xmame -listfull, and when clicked (using Konquerer) it will launch xmame with the appropriate game. Obviously, in order to run this script you will need xmame. June 1, 2002 - I have modified my script to seperate out xpinmame icons, and to change the file name inside the .xpm file (you do not need to redownload the icons if you have already downloaded them.) If you are interested, I have put up my shell script that converts the icons here. May 31, 2002 - First update in 10 months!! I have written a shell script that will automatically update the webpage whenever MAMu_ releases a new icon pack. This means that from now on, this web site will be updated almost immediately after a new icon pack is released. The updates directory has also been removed and will no longer be supported, most people just download the all_icons.tar file anyway. The previews/ directory has also been udpated to show the icons against both a black and a white background! I have also updated the kmamu shell script so that it will work properly with xmame.xgl. If you use the xgl target for xmame, you should upgrade your kmamu scripts. |
